The dirkAG is a project combining ambient, electronic
and psychedelic influences.
Frontman Dirk Binder actually started 1985 with a nameless industrial project creating experimental soundscapes using the former synth and sampling technology.
Moving on to digital music production in 2000 he developed his style creating more deeper and relaxed atmospheres. The dirkAG teams up with fellow musicians from time to time. Individual influences are deriving from drum&bass, modern experimental, goa/psy-techno and space rock.
The E.P. "Die Bienen sterben wie die Fliegen" features four of his relaxed electronic/ambient tracks that were made between end of 2001 and summer 2003, before the studio's computer crashed for the first time and most of the running projects were lost.
The bonus track Africa was done in 2004 and the master project was unfortunately lost due to a HDD crash, too. But as we think you might enjoy some experimental we put it up here in a raw version as well.
This web release is a free giveaway for the listeners. If you plan to use them (e.g. for an independent movie etc.) - contact dirkAG [at] audioschotter.net directly.
Enjoy the music....
(c) 2001-2005 Dirk Binder
